First time steamer user...

I bought this due to owning a lot of rather delicate clothing nowadays. Ever since I've discovered how dry cleaning works and how it's not AT ALL safe for delicate clothing, I had to look for an alternative that would make my clothes not so wrinkled. My friend recommended this one after buying it herself, for the price mainly, as the one she was originally eyeing was double this one's price (she bought this at the $70 mark, which is the same price I bought mine at).Putting the pieces together out of the box was really easy, and once assembled because it's tall rather than wide, it doesn't really take up that much space. I do wish there's a easy way to keep all the attachments and hangers though. Right now they're just lying on the floor next to the steamer, but I guess I'll put them in a bag and hang it from the top.The steamer heats up and emits steam within a minute as advertised! It wasn't emitting huge sprays of steam either, just rather gentle looking steam that is (as I've learned) quite hot. Steaming out wrinkles worked best for polyester material such as chiffon or pearskin, whereas for my cotton blouses, I was able to get rid of major wrinkle lines but the overall "wrinkled" feeling of the blouse stayed. Thus if you own a lot of polyester pieces (blouses, dresses, especially recently when chiffon has been particularly popular), then this is great for you. For cotton wearers though, a tradition iron and board might be faster/easier?For attachments there's a lint duster attachment as well as a crease maker. I haven't tried either, but perhaps the crease maker might help with making the clothing more flat. It also comes with this foam square with a strap for your hand that's supposed to be like an ironing board. It does work buuuuuuuuuut BE CAREFUL. The steam can easily flow around the foam square and hit your hand instead (thus, my first burn). Maybe wear some kind of heat resistant work gloves when you use this, just in case.I didn't have any issues with the length of the hose or the length of the telescopic wand. I'm also only 5'5" so none of my clothes are particularly long anyway. I did notice that it tends to gurgle a lot and it emits water splashes. The booklet said this is normal and caused by water not draining properly down the pipe due to the hose/head being held the wrong way, but it does seem to happen pretty often. However as everything I'm steaming is polyester or cotton or some kind of blend, all the water spots just dried up without any issues. I mean steam itself is water anyway, so if your clothes fear water drops you probably shouldn't be steaming?Having never owned a steamer before I can't really say how great it really is compared to other models but it does serve my purpose. I don't think my blouses are going to come out perfectly pressed like when they came out of the dry cleaners though, which is a bummer, but for the safety of my clothes, I'm willing to forego that for this.

I like that the hose is now coated with a fabric so that you don't burn your skin. I like that the tank is much larger. I don't like that it feels that the hose is less flexible (and kinks easily if you have to twist it at all). The hanger provided for pants, skirts has clips that slide all over the place, so what's the point of having them? I'm going to have to get some grippy clothes pins or something to keep those from going all over the place. The steam holes are far fewer than their previous model and are centered in the middle. The other model had them upper and lower and had a much bigger fabric brush. The first one of these I had failed less than 30 days and would not power up. I had to cut the cord and send in a photo of my cut product and photo of the serial #. They quickly sent me a replacement steamer. You have to be careful not to twist this cord because the steam unit will start to gurgle. The unit is quite louder than the previous model. I don't feel the steam put-out is as good as the previous model, either. So, I'm not "thrilled" about this unit, but it works. (The last model rusted and then stopped working. My boyfriend took it apart to see if he could fix it and the water had rusted everything about the unit.) Ideally, the top hanging pole would be much, much taller. With anything like pants or skirts, you have to hold them up high and steam them, else the steam pools in the hose if you have to stoop to get the middle to lower parts of the garment. Who designs these things?? It doesn't appear someone who uses a steamer designs these...
