The Hoover SteamVac Powermax with Spinscrub comes with patented SpinScrub brushes that scrub carpet fibers on all sides to gently loosen dirt. The SpinScrub mode gives you three ways to clean. Off to pick up spills, Lo for gentle scrub, and Hi for power scrubbing. There is also a clean surge feature that provides extra power to clean spots, stains, and heavy traffic areas.The powerful 12amp motor is completely dedicated to cleaning which means constant power to the SpinScrub brushes. This unit comes with heated cleaning which directly applies heat to the floor where it is neede most. The two tank system: one for clean water and one for dirty water, means you never reuse dirty water on your floor. A 48oz and 16oz bottle of Deep Cleansing Detergent is included.

After a year, great machine!

I've cleaned a number of floors and auto interiors. No problems so far, no leaks, great suction. You have to remember this is NOT a commercial unit and must be treated as such. Be aware and careful handling both tanks, don't run it into walls and you should be fine. I can note that I cleaned one exceptionally filthy office floor carpet and had incredible results. I did have to use six tanks of cleaner using laundry detergent in the mix on a 12'X 12' room but the results were nothing short of dramatic. The machine pulled out what looked like mud water in the collection tank and after about the 4th pass it was relatively clear. This is not a quiet machine but that is not an issue with me, results are. It's about as heavy as a full size vacuum sweeper. The only cons that I can really note is that it is loud, and I wish the tanks were a bit larger in capacity. I can highly recommend this product with no hesitation and would purchase another if need be.

I have six dogs and needlesstosay need a deep cleaning yet reasonably priced carpet cleaner. This one does an excellent job. Unfortunately my carpets are beige and stains of any kind seem to show up faster. This machine is easy to use; but I do recommend cleaning the dirty water basin thoroughly after each use. Once that basin is secured properly you are good to go. I use this machine at least twice a week and my first one lasted over 4 years. This one seems more powerful and more efficient. I would highly recommend this machine as an alternative to renting and lugging home a machine that you don't know what the person before you used to clean that machine with. My only complaint...I hate wrapping the cord....I would love an automatic return cord.

Bought this at a yard sale from someone who left it incredibly dirty. It was easy to clean and having no manual I didn't know what to xpect, It worked great. With three dogs ;the tanks filled with filthy water but rewashing worked great.
