its alright but there are better

I have the grey colored model. I needed this for the new house that had light carpet in the informal living room and a few of the bedrooms upstairs. I admittedly bought this as an inexperienced user to the carpet vac world and I didnt think I would need the rotating 4 brush super spray craziness. After 2 years and a growing family I would have definietly opted for the craziness now. The measuring cup doubles as the reservior cap which is efficient. You fill the reservior with hot tap water and then pour in the capful of detergent. The clean tank clips into place above the dirty tank. Left foot switch is power on and right foot switch is to release the handle tilt. The vac itself is still going strong so thats good. If you have tight loop carpet or not so plush fabric then this should work well enough. However if you have medium to super plush and all else than plush with heavier traffic on the carpet then you are better with the rotating brush design. Bottomline is it is not a bad product but I found that it has limited potential. Growing family w pets and medium traffic will warrant a more featureful carpet vac. In all fairness, I still use it and it is still alive despite a 3 month old, visitors, a cat and a dog. I will be upgrading though. Consider this a light duty product.
